    Our Story

    In 2014, we started a small, scrappy company in St. Louis, inspired to spark real conversations between businesses and customers. What was true then remains true today—texting is the easiest way to communicate with everyone, from your best friend to your grandmother. We thought: Why shouldn’t businesses join the conversations?

  • 2016

    Secured Angel Funding

    With $200,000 in Angel Funding we got the jumpstart we needed to make business texting possible. We also launched customized reporting and text to email forwarding.

  • 2017 & 2018

    Textel partners with NICE CXone

    We were thrilled to partner with NICE CXone, a leader in the contact centers as a service (CCaaS) market. Paul Jarman, CEO of NICE CXone put it best, “Today’s mobile customers look for the convenience of text messaging instead of phone calls for simple customer service requests. The customer experience includes much more than voice interactions. With Textel’s SMS functionality [NICE CXone] customers can improve customer experience by providing service for customers via two-way text or proactive text notifications. We welcome Textel as part of the CXexchange marketplace.” It’s during this time that we received the NICE CXone Rising Star Award!

    Textel partners with Meevo2

    This new integration connected us with the leading cloud-based growth platform built exclusively for the beauty and wellness industries.

  • 2020

    Secured $5M Series A Funding

    We continued to see phenomenal growth even during a pandemic and even secured Series A funding! We also saw new partnerships with Genesys, another leading CCaaS vendor, and with SalonBiz, an all-in-one salon and spa solution.

  • Present

    More growth and new partnerships

    We’re not stopping. Our company more than doubled our headcount with even more engineers, a growing customer success team, as well as sales and marketing. We also announced a new CCaaS integration with Five9 and have some pretty big plans for our platform this year. If you can’t tell, we’re excited for the road ahead!
